Slovak Art on the World Stage

On September 21, 2026, Oneness Festival – Slovaks in Concert returns to Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center in New York. The fifth edition will present leading Slovak artists alongside internationally established musicians and culminate in a concert by two-time Grammy Award winner Gregory Porter.

Oneness Festival was created as an international platform for the promotion and export of Slovak art and culture. Its goal is to bring Slovak artists into a natural international context — sharing stages with world-class performers and connecting with international audiences, media and the professional music community.

Previous editions at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center have demonstrated the potential of Slovak artists to become a strong and equal part of the international cultural scene. Beyond individual performances, the project aims to create opportunities for new collaborations and long-term professional relationships.

The name Oneness reflects the festival’s broader mission: connecting people through the universal language of music, across national and cultural boundaries. In this sense, the project also serves as a platform for cultural diplomacy, presenting Slovakia through its talent, creativity and contemporary culture.

The 2026 program will feature Stanislav Palúch, Oskar Török, Simona Hulejová, Peter Slavov and Martin Valihora, combining contemporary jazz, improvisation and elements of Slovak musical identity within an international musical language.

The program will also feature acclaimed Czech keyboardist and organist Ondřej Pivec, a longtime member of Gregory Porter’s band and an established artist on the international music scene.

The evening will culminate in a full concert by Gregory Porter, whose distinctive combination of jazz, soul and gospel and his deeply human approach to music naturally reflect the philosophy of the festival.

Slovaks in Concert takes place during the United Nations General Assembly, when New York becomes a major center of international dialogue. This timing strengthens the festival’s role as a cultural platform and creates an opportunity to present Slovak art to a broad international audience.

Oneness Festival – Slovaks in Concert is more than a concert. It is a long-term platform for the international presentation of Slovak culture, the support and export of Slovak artists, and the creation of meaningful connections through music.
